Vans California Lo Pro 2012 Spring/Summer “Washed Stripe

                        

        Uncle Sam spent his teenage summers draining and skating California pools, we’d like to think this is the shoe he’d wear. For Spring/Summer 2012, Vans will be offering this festive Lo Pro rendition, aptly titled “Washed Stripe.” The shoe’s stars and stripes upper is constructed from panels of washed denim yielding a heavily ‘washed,’ vintage look, while the sole is simply Vans’s classic vulcanized rubber — perfect for a patriotic skate session. The shoe is expected to land in select Vans retailers by the end of March.

Billionaire Boys Club x Mark McNairy - Bee Line

American fashion designer Mark McNairy, former creative director for the Ivy League inspired clothing company J.Press, as well as his own collection called Mark McNairy New Amsterdam has collaborated with fashion mogul Pharrell Williams and his line Billionaire Boys Club. The collaboration started after Pharrell and Mark had the idea of a boot collaboration that would eventually turn into a full capsule collection. This is what gets produced if you bring together two street style monarchies.

To be able to change the look of the man two-button piece suit takes alot of creativity, Walter Van Beirendonck's F/W 2012 Menswear showcased just that, as well other great unique looks. WVB usage of fabrics and turning that same ole everyday wear into something that pushes you in front of the line of having fashion forward style is what guys like me look for in fashion. A change to stand out and not be that average gentlemen. Kudos to WVB for this collection.

OriginalFake 2012 Spring/Summer Collection

Famous artist KAWS, just recently released visuals of his label OriginalFake 2012 Spring/Summer Collection. The collection features striped knit sweaters, chambray shorts, patterned button-ups, washed selvedge denim, khaki chinos and reversible down vests. This collection ain't too much, if anything else its very basic but it still has that creative OriginalFake edge to it. For more from the collection, hit the Jump!

Lanvin Fall 2012 Menswear showcased a great mix of fits and fabric usages. For examples the trouser pants has ranges from loose over flowing pants like the 70's and then some are the modern fitted trousers with new fabric usage. The jackets, well you can easily see that the jackets are the must, from leather bike riders, to peacoats, parkas, as well the suit blazers; all have great range of fits and prints.

Everything Lanvin does is to keep the classic in the modern perspective, whether it's the fits or fabrics, Lanvin gives men something new to try out as well as keeping them an stylish gentlemen.

One thing I know when I see a Thom Browne collection, that it would be something you will never see. This year in the Fall 2012 collection, Thom kept true to my statement. It's like he took the punk look and pumped it up on steroids, you wouldn't want to see a guy walking down the street at night in those jackets. None the less it was unique as always and Thom is great at making big leaps in fashion. Take a look at his latest masterpiece, here.

Japanese designer MIHARAYASUHIRO recently showcased his latest Fall/Winter 2012 collection during the recently concluded Paris Fashion Week. Known for his minimalist avant-garde designs, Yasuhiro's shows a different side of his created mind with this year's collection. Offering somewhat a more slightly more refined and mature aesthetic with the mixings of blazers, peacoats, padded parkas, bomber jackets, cropped trousers, and as well as over-sized flowing trousers. It wouldn't be MIHARAYASUHIRO if there weren't any hybrid style garments, liked the military style coats and camouflage patterned suits made from fine kimono fabrics.

Dsquared2 Fall 2012 Collection

Designers of Dsquared2, Dean and Dan Caten do it again, delivering a total dandy collection. The collection features sweatshirts under fresh fitted suits, pilate Faire Isle sweaters, clean washed, fitted jeans been worn slightly low and modern fitted suits. What makes this collection really great is that it does not just focus on formal wear but also tracksuits as well as denim wear. For more info and pictures from the collection, hit the Jump!

If your collection is only going to have one color scheme, then it's should be the small things that matter. This 2012 Fall Menswear Collection from Stefano Pilati of Yves Saint Laurent, did just that. The choices of fabrics and the placements of the these fabrics, as well as the fit of the garment, and the little tiny details of color like the midnight blue and gold. It goes to show it doesn't need to be over the top to be a "high-end" it should simply just be the quality of the garments and Stefano Pilati presented it well this year.

Louis Vuitton Fall 2012 Menswear was simply a great fusion of Paris and Tokyo. Both style of looks formed a great collection by Kim Jones who is now running the menswear of Louis Vuitton. From this collection I got a sense of the 20's, the gentlemen who loved to travel. My favorites would have to be the outer jackets, what are yours?

From the new Thom Browne S/S 2012 Collection, Thome Browne present his all new Wingtip Brogue shoe. The shoe itself hasn't change, there's still the usual high quality leather and the signature heel pull tag; but as you can see it the tricolor branding to the mid and outer soles of the shoes. Giving this classic Wingtip an raw and colorful edge, literally.

Mugler. When see this word I think of Nicola Formichetti, when I hear his name I think of the dark, raw, and futuristic fashion that he creates. Seeing the new Mugler Menswear Fall/Winter 2012, Nicola kept true to words and produce an interesting yet another modernize collection with his partner Romain Kremer.
